About me: I’m the owner of Break The Scale Driving School. Before becoming a driving instructor, I worked as a bus driver, developing strong road awareness and safety skills that I now pass on to my pupils. I’m proud to be a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), having passed with a First, and I’ve completed ORDIT training to a high standard.
Teaching style: Calm, professional, and confidence-building. I want every pupil to feel that they’re not just learning to pass a test, but learning skills that will keep them safe on the road for life.
Fun fact: I enjoy time with my wife and daughter, Skye, and exploring Scotland’s roads.

About me: For 20 years I ran a family business before working as a local taxi driver, caring for vulnerable passengers from young children to the elderly. I’ve built strong relationships transporting children with special needs daily. Happily married with two teenage daughters, I enjoy family life with our lively Labrador who brings laughter every day.
Teaching style: Patient, calm, and understanding, I value each learner’s unique needs and adapt my approach to support them. My goal is to make lessons enjoyable and build confidence for future driving.
Fun fact: I’m an Apple geek and want to chase tornadoes !!!

About me: I live in Erskine with my wife and two young children. This keeps me very busy in what little downtime I give myself. In my happy place on a Golf course. I have been involved in driving most of my working life, in one way or another, happy to now be in a position to encourage and guide students to become safe and confident road users.
Teaching style: My teaching style is patient and gentle. Nothing will feel rushed, my priority is helping to develop a full understanding in a way that is best for that pupil.
Fun fact: Adam Sandler once cut me up in traffic.

About me: I’m Shaan, a dedicated driving instructor with a passion for building safe, confident drivers across Hamilton, East Kilbride and the surrounding areas.I’m committed to delivering tailored lessons that focus on real-world skills and long-term road safety—helping you pass your test and drive with confidence.
Teaching style: Supportive and adaptable, I match your pace with clear, practical guidance for stress-free learning. Whether nervous or eager, I tailor sessions to build confidence, readiness, and skills for road and life.
Fun fact: I’m also a keen cyclist—perfect for spotting those tricky junctions from a fresh perspective!

About me: I’m a proud dad of four and a grandad (I know, I don’t look old enough 😉). For 20 years, I’ve worked in quarrying, processing minerals and gained my HGV to move heavy machinery and aggregates. Before that, I drove buses and coaches on school runs, service routes, and UK trips. I love driving and caring for my cars.
Teaching style: I provide a supportive learning environment that builds confidence. Help students stay calm by adapting lessons to suit each individuals needs.
Fun fact: I love exploring new places, especially caves and derelict buildings.

About me: From the North of England originally but moved to Glasgow over 20 years ago Ex HGV driver for 15years and decided I wanted a career change wish I did it years ago.
Teaching style: My lessons are all about you, and lots of fun. Laughter makes everything easier. Very laid back aswell no pressure in the car.
Fun fact: I met my wife while working as a Holiday rep in Mallorca where I lived for a year.

About me: After years in the hospitality sector, my time came to and end and I needed a complete change. Combining my passion for safety and experience of service I decided to take this journey and train to become a driving instructor.
Teaching style: I encourage active learning and often don't use the word 'teacher' or 'teaching'. With pupils I like to create a positive environment in the car and encourage questions and independent thinking.
Fun fact: In 2023 in a previous hospitality role, I had the opportunity to dance Ceilidh style with Margot Robbie in Dundee.

About me: I live in East Kilbride with my husband, 2 kids and 1 adorable but crazy dog. For the past 20 years I have worked as a primary teacher and decided to develop my skills in a different learning environment by becoming a driving instructor. I love that I can tailor lessons to each pupils preferred learning style and needs and that every learners journey is individual to them.
Teaching style: Patient, calm, encouraging and friendly. I want every learner to feel valued and supported to develop the skills they need to become safe and confident drivers for life
Fun fact: When I was 21, I drove the length of the Florida Keys to swim with dolphins whilst there was an evacuation for a hurricane!

About me: I pride myself on a low pressure learning environment, at your pace. I'll encourage you to challenge yourself, face your fears with my support, always with a view to encourage safe thinking about your road ahead.
Teaching style: I'm married with two teenagers one of which will be starting lessons this year. Previously I was a designer and modelmaker at a small firm making museum quality scale military models. When that job ended I was inspired to retrain as a driving instructor by a friend who taught his daughter.
Fun fact: On the rally circuit at Knockhill I flipped a traffic cone with the near side front wheel of a Subaru, tumbling it over the bonnet whilst drifting it round a corner.

About me: I’m a dedicated parent of two boys with 13 years experience in customer services, seeking a career shift into a role that helps, motivates, and offers a deep sense of accomplishment. I aspire to using my patience and communication skills to help others gain confidence, stay safe, and achieve their goals on the road.
Teaching style: My teaching style in driving is patient, clear, and adaptive. I focus on building confidence, ensuring safety, and tailoring lessons to each persons needs and pace.
Fun fact: I love hiking and walking trails, my favourite and most challenging so far, being the west highland way.
